Laura Christopherson

Expert in cyberinfrastructure facilitation and data analysis.
Christopherson holds a PhD in information science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked in information technology for many years, mainly in user-centered systems design and systems analysis. At RENCI, Christopherson wears many hats. She has designed and developed training programs, led outreach activities with the scientists for whom RENCI develops software, conducted computational linguistic analysis and provided terminological support to biomedical projects, and helped different RENCI project teams with evaluation and assessment. For CI Compass, Christopherson provides expertise in program evaluation. She has conducted program evaluation for the Water Science Software Institute (WSSI) and other programs at RENCI such as iRODs user outreach efforts.
