NSF CICF Summer Symposium 2025
The NSF CI Compass Fellowship Program (CICF) is a distinctive program aimed to broaden undergraduate student participation in cyberinfrastructure (CI) research, development, and operations. During the summer of 2025, our CICF Student Fellows took part in the CICF Summer Program where they worked on data lifecycle and cyberinfrastructure projects with the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and NSF Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI), Globus Labs at the University of Chicago, and aboard the NSF Research Vessel Sikuliaq.
For this virtual symposium, the CICF Student Fellows presented their summer research projects, including a description of the purpose of their project, technical details of their project, and what they learned from their project. We had an additional CICF Student Fellow join us to speak about his work as a part of the MIT Summer Research Program.
