Please join us on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, for our next installment in the NSF CI Compass webinar series. "Data Delivery User Experience - Is it important to your facility?" features Jeffrey Glatsein, Senior Manager of Cyberinfrastructure at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), where he oversees data systems for the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI).
Join us on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. ET | 1 p.m. CT | Noon MT | 11 a.m. PT.
Abstract:
The webinar will surface the importance of a user’s experience when finding and accessing OOI data. How OOI identified and addressed issues with its legacy data portal. Communicating OOI’s journey to provide the necessary tools to access OOI data is one goal of the talk. The second is to hear from the community of Facilities to understand if their user’s experience of finding and accessing data is considered to be important and if so, was it a consideration during the implementation of the data delivery process? Plenty of time will be left over for that discussion.
