The MS-CC is hosting the Cyberinfrastructure for FAIR Science Workshop on August 4-5, 2025, at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
This hands-on workshop, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), is designed to help researchers, faculty, and graduate students tackle data-intensive challenges by making research data and workflows more FAIR—Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with tools developed under an NSF Cyberinfrastructure for Sustained Scientific Innovation (CSSI) project. Activities will focus on:
- GeoEDF: Resource-intensive geospatial data processing pipelines
- StreamCI: Sensor and streaming data management
- CyberFACES: Developing interactive learning modules
Workshop highlights include tutorials, working sessions, and presentations of domain science applications. The program also includes sessions on High-Performance Computing and containerization technologies. For a draft agenda, please visit the workshop website.
Participant support funds are available, and certificates will be awarded upon completion. Additional honoraria are available for contributions of datasets, code, or learning modules.
Eligibility: Researchers, faculty, and graduate students in geosciences and other relevant fields from U.S. institutions.
Early career researchers are especially encouraged to apply.
