Join NSF CI Compass at its FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) Topical Working Group meeting on Thursday October 2, 1:15pm Eastern Time (10:15 am PT). This month's meeting will feature Michela Taufer, Dongarra Professor, in the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and computer Science at The University of Tennessee Knoxville.
Taufer will present: "Enabling Autonomous Labs: The NSDF-ORNL Partnership for Real-Time Scientific Discovery."
Autonomous labs are transforming science at major experimental facilities by combining AI, real-time data, and automated decision-making. This talk highlights how National Science Data Fabric (NSDF) and ORNL’s INTERSECT project connect facilities like ORNL and CHESS with modular tools—live dashboards, data processing, and cloud storage—to support autonomous experiments. The result is portable, FAIR, and scalable workflows that accelerate discovery across physics, chemistry, and energy research.
Please join us at 1:15 p.m. ET / 12:15 CT / 11:15 a.m. MT / 10:15 PT.
