From Science Gateways:
Where research leaders and technologists shape science infrastructure for education and discovery.
Gateways has run annually since 2016. It brings together the people who fund research infrastructure, the people who build it, and the people who put it to work in classrooms and libraries — a combination that few other conferences offer.
The program centers on working systems: keynotes, peer-reviewed papers, live demos, panels, tutorials, and posters, with all accepted papers published open-access. The community spans oceanography, genomics, climate science, digital humanities, astronomy, public health, and more — united by a shared challenge of making computational infrastructure accessible and sustainable across institutions.
Opening reception Wednesday evening. Full conference Thursday and Friday. The Bloomberg Center sits in the heart of DC — walking distance from NIH, NSF, DOE, and the National Mall. If your work touches federal science funding, the hallway conversations start before you reach the venue.
