Cloud Topical Working Group Activites
This group serves NSF Major and Mid-scale Facility practitioners navigating cloud infrastructure decisions.
We meet monthly and focus on cloud adoption challenges specific to research facilities, including cloud storage economics, data egress costs, AI workload management, and cloud security. We have transitioned to a practitioner-led presentation format, where active MF staff share direct operational experience from their own facilities, followed by open community discussion. We draw participants from across the MF community as well as from partner organizations, including Internet2, NCSA, and cloud platform providers.
Logistics
- Meeting first Monday of the month from 3 pm - 4 pm Eastern Time / Noon - 3 p.m. Pacific Time
- Open to anyone who is interested.
