Agenda and Materials
“Getting Together, Working Together"
This workshop was organized by CI Compass — the NSF Cyberinfrastructure Center of Excellence — that provides expertise and active support to cyberinfrastructure practitioners at NSF Major Facilities. The workshop was held in a hybrid format on March 1st and 2nd, 2022. The in-person portion of the meeting was held in Redondo Beach, in Southern California.
The goal of this workshop was for the MFs, CI community, and NSF to share best practices, discuss opportunities, and brainstorm solutions to the challenges faced today and in the future as related to the CI for NSF Major Facilities. The theme of this workshop was Getting Together, Working Together, emphasizing the need for collaboration to address both technical and social challenges faced by our community. Workshop topics included cloud migration, FAIR data, overcoming CI challenges, workforce development, and lessons learned during the pandemic. The workshop built on prior meetings: https://facilitiesci.github.io.
