Getting Together, Working Together

CI Compass is planning a hybrid workshop to be held on March 1st and 2nd, 2022.  The in-person portion of the meeting will be held in Redondo Beach, in Southern California and will include CI office hours and ample time for networking. A virtual platform will be available to connect remote attendees.

The goal of this workshop is for the MFs, CI community, and NSF to share best practices, discuss opportunities, and brainstorm solutions to the challenges faced today and in the future as related to the CI for NSF Major Facilities. The theme of this workshop is Getting Together, Working Together, emphasizing the need for collaboration to address both technical and social challenges faced by our community. Workshop topics will include cloud migration, FAIR data, overcoming CI challenges, workforce development, and lessons learned during the pandemic.  The workshop builds on prior meetings: https://facilitiesci.github.io.

The registration will be open until February 21st. The workshop is by invitation only and in-person space is limited.  If you would like to attend the event or have questions about it, please contact us at: ci4mfs@ci-compass.org

Covid-19 considerations: We all know that we cannot predict what will happen in March, but we hope we that the in-person get together will proceed as planned. We will follow any additional required federal, state, and local guidelines to make sure the meeting is as safe as possible.
